Optical Coherence Tomography
OCT is considered one of the most important technological breakthroughs in eye care in the past decade. OCT provides detailed images of the anatomical features of the front and back of the eye, including the cornea, retina and optic disc. Similar to an MRI or CT scan, OCT helps doctors identify early signs of sight-threatening diseases.
Vision therapy includes numerous activities with patching, prism, and lenses that reprogram the accommodation and convergence systems to help the eyes work more effectively.
Diabetic Eye Exams
In patients with diabetes, prolonged periods of high blood sugar can lead to the accumulation of fluid in the lens inside the eye that controls eye focusing.
Glaucoma Testing and Treatment
Glaucoma is a group of eye disorders leading to progressive damage to the optic nerve, and is characterized by loss of nerve tissue resulting in loss of vision.
Macular Degeneration Evaluation and Treatment
Macular degeneration is a leading cause of vision loss in Americans over the age of 60. The diagnosis of macular degeneration is made during a dilated eye exam.
Dry Eye Treatment
Dry eye is a condition in which there are insufficient tears to lubricate and nourish the eye. People with dry eyes either do not produce enough tears or have a poor quality of tears.
Orthokeratology is a process that uses specially designed GP contact lenses to temporarily reshape the contour of the cornea to reduce myopia (nearsightedness).
